What is a Cavapoo?
Cavapoos are a mix of a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and a Miniature Poodle. The Cavalier King Charles breed is known to be extremely affectionate towards their family, great with small children, and very friendly with other dogs. They have beautiful, long coats and are considered a small breed. King Charles Spaniels are great for both active and less active homes and are a fantastic family dog. The Miniature Poodle makes up the other half of a Cavapoo. These dogs are extremely intelligent, highly trainable, and are also incredible dogs for families with children. The Miniature Poodle is a small to medium size dog, however, there are Toy Poodles that are smaller in size than the King Charles Cavalier. Miniature Poodles have a low-allergen coat making them a great dog for families with fur sensitivity. The Cavapoo is made up of two excellent breeds and fit almost any family, environment, and lifestyle.
What Do Cavapoo Puppies Look Like?
Since Cavapoos are a mixed breed, there can be a lot of variety in the puppies. Here are some common characteristics:
- Size: Cavapoos will range from weight being between 10-25 pounds and height between 8-15 inches. Please Note: We cannot determine their actual full-grown size. The size is an estimate and determined according to the parents.
- Coat: Cavapoo fur is typically shorter than a purebred King Charles Cavalier Spaniel, and is more wavy/curly. These soft coats are prone to less shedding as well.
- Colors include: Red, Red/White, Golden, Black/Tan, Black/White and more!
- Age: Cavapoo puppies typically live 12-15 years
